Dear FFP Family,
Leanne and I are thrilled to share the joy we experienced while manning our booth at the Back to School Extravaganza today at the Trenton New Jersey School District! 🎉 We had the wonderful opportunity to connect with so many people, inviting them to join our raffle and sharing the incredible work we’re doing in our mission areas. There was a lot of interest in our online store, and many expressed a desire to learn more about it, which is truly encouraging. A special shoutout to Stein for her amazing tote bags—they were a big hit! 🛍️ We also had some fun items from the dollar store and, of course, chocolates and water to keep everyone refreshed. A big thank you to Leanne for her unwavering support and to everyone who prayed for good weather—it truly made a difference! 🙏 We’re excited to announce that we’ll be participating in another event soon—the Peace Fair at Friend's School in Lahaska on September 21. Mark your calendars! Thanks be to God for a successful event, and God bless us all! With gratitude, Joey Attention, Good Souls! "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11 I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. I am writing to provide you with an update on the recent developments at Haven of Hope since our last communication in November 2023. Following the successful completion of our Christmas celebrations and the exams of the children of HOH, I am pleased to inform you that our students performed admirably in their examinations. Their hard work and dedication have truly paid off, and we are immensely proud of their achievements. After the exams, the children were sent home for the Christmas and year-end vacation to spend time with their families. They returned to HOH on 28th December 2023, rejuvenated and excited to continue their studies and activities at our facility. However, it is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that due to unforeseen problems faced by society, we were compelled to send the students back to their homes shortly after their return to HOH. These challenges have disrupted the normal functioning of our operations and posed difficulties in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students. "In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity." - Sun Tzu Recent development at HOH I am writing to provide you with an update on the recent developments regarding the children under the care of the HOH. Unfortunately, due to various challenges and issues faced from government agencies, we have been forced to send the children back to their homes. This decision has been made after careful consideration of the safety and well-being of the children, as well as the difficulties encountered in recent months. Over the past few months, we have faced numerous scrutinizes and challenges from government authorities, which have made it increasingly difficult to continue providing care and support to the children at HOH. Despite our best efforts to navigate through these obstacles, the situation has become untenable, and we have had no choice but to return the children to their families. It is with regret that I inform you that these circumstances have also impacted our ability to continue our work effectively. Due to the ongoing challenges and concerns raised by government agencies, you were advised not to travel to India. We are actively exploring alternative solutions and avenues to continue our mission of serving the most marginalized and disadvantaged members of our society. We appreciate your ongoing support and understanding during this challenging time. Rest assured, we are doing everything in our power to overcome these obstacles and ensure the safety and well-being of the children under our care. We anticipate resuming our actions once the General Elections in India are concluded, expected to be by the month of June. We believe that once the electoral process is complete; there will be a conducive environment for us to address the challenges and concerns that have arisen in recent months. During this interim period, we will continue to closely monitor the situation and prepare for our re-engagement once circumstances allow. Our commitment to serving the needs of the vulnerable and marginalized remains steadfast, and we look forward to returning to our efforts with renewed vigor once the political climate stabilizes. E Explanation for Delay in Construction Work: We regret to inform you that the construction work at Sanjeevani, Harrai has experienced delays, primarily attributed to the following reasons: a Financial Constraints: The lack of sufficient funds has been a significant impediment to the timely completion of the project. Despite our best efforts to secure adequate funding, we have encountered challenges in raising the necessary resources, which has resulted in delays in procuring materials and hiring labor. b Sociopolitical Challenges: The recent political upheavals and societal disturbances in the region have also contributed to delays in the construction work. These disturbances have disrupted the normal functioning of our operations, leading to logistical challenges and interruptions in the supply chain. Inauguration of the newly constructed building at Sanjeevani, Harrai We are delighted to inform you that the inauguration of the newly constructed building at Sanjeevani, Harrai is scheduled to take place in the month of October. This payment is crucial to honor our commitments and ensure the successful completion of the project.
