Garage Sale For A Cause
March 14, 2020
We finally got the feel of what it is like to have a garage sale as a fund-raising activity. It was fun even in the middle of the Global Coronavirus Pandemic crisis because there was a long line of customers waiting for their turn to get in. We have to control the number of people coming in so to observe “social distancing.” This was originally scheduled for two days but we decided to have it only half day since almost half of our items were sold. Moreover, we opted to support the local government wherein they discourage gatherings such as this to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
Our experience inspired us to consider opening a Charity Shop in the near future Here in the Philippines. Charity Shops similar to “Ukay-Ukay” are very popular in the UK & US. This is merely to raise funds for charity. Watch out for this in God’s perfect time!
